ResumoThe size of ruthenium nanoparticles is governed by the degree of self-organization of the imidazolium based ionic liquid in which they are generated from (η4-1,5-cyclooctadiene)(η6-1,3,5-cyclooctatriene)ruthenium: the more structured the ionic liquid, the smaller the size.
