We report a case of a community-acquired pneumonia due to this organism occurring in an immunocompetent patient. After initial unresponsiveness to erythromycin, this patient had a clinically favorable response to the addition of tetracycline therapy.A 50-year-old fisherman who worked in dirty freshwater pools was hospitalized because of headache, fever, productive cough, and increasing dyspnea of 7 days' duration.
