The electronic parts of the dipole and quadrupole hyperfine structure interactions in 175 Lu are evaluated from the known values of the hyperfine constants and the nuclear moments. A comparison is made with results obtained from atomic Hartree-Fock calculations including relativistic and polarization effects. Furthermore, experimental nuclear spins and (recalculated) moments of lutetium isotopes are compared with results from Nilsson model calculations.
