Resumo

During the period between January 1985 and April 1987, 77 cases of meconium aspiration were documented from a total of 14,527 deliveries. The diagnosis of such aspiration was made on the basis of meconium in the trachea, respiratory distress, and radiologie evidence of the syndrome.
