ResumoPycnodysostosis is a rare sclerosing bone disorder in which osteomyelitis of the jaws is a frequent complication. Treatment of osteomyelitis of the jaws in pycnodysostosis is difficult and may lead to large resections. A review of the literature and 3 new cases in which osteomyelitis was successfully treated by a combined surgical and antibiotic approach, are reported.
