ResumoAbstract Tracer experiments using 15N-labeled N02 gas confirmed the operation of two routes in the absorption of NO2-nitrogen by plants. One was direct incorporation through leaves and maybe sterns. The other was the uptake by the roots after NO2 was absorbed in the soils. The quantitative estimation of the contribution of the two routes in NO2-nitrogen absorption by sunflower, kidney bean and corn plants was carried out, and the results indicated that the proportion of the NO2-nitrogen absorbed by the latter route was smaller.
