Resumo

The lymphocytopaenia in sheep infected with TBF was associated with a significant decrease in the number of cells bearing surface immunoglobulin and a small reduction in the number of T-lymphocytes, suggesting that the lymphocytopaenia induced by C. phagocytophilia results from a depletion in the number of circulating B-lymphocytes.
