Oracle Application Express (Apex) is a rapid application development platform that allows users to quickly create rich web applications, based on data within the Oracle database. It is included with Oracle 11g (although newer versions can be installed over the top) and while all databases will have Apex installed, not all installations are using Apex to present their databases via the web browser.
