ResumoPediatric cardiac transplant patients present many challenges to the medical community. These include such things as complex evaluations, preoperative heart failure support, complex operative interventions, and postoperative challenges in management. In spite of these challenges, survival outcomes for children undergoing a heart transplant have improved dramatically over the last two decades.
