Resumo

The levels of Cu, Cd, Zn and Pb and their speciation at four sampling sites located along a river course relatively untouched by industrial or urban influence were monitored voltammetrically over a one‐year period. The metal levels found were well below those legally allowed. In those cases where the overall concentrations were high enough, the speciation patterns for Pb, Cu and Zn were obtained.
