Resumo

A dispersion analysis of six different finite element methods for approximating Maxwell's equations in space is presented. The study is limited to two space dimensions and triangular elements, but all the methods considered can be generalised to three dimensions using prismatic elements. Spatial grids consisting of both equilateral and right triangles are considered.
