ResumoAllylic and benzylic alcohols are oxidised to the corresponding carbonyl compounds using tert-butyl hydroperoxide, preferably in stoichiometric amounts, and dirhodium(II) tetraacetate as catalyst (1 mol%) in dichloromethane at ambient temperature.
