Resumo1. In G. cruentata and U. cordatus acclimated to seawater concentrations ranging from 150 to 25% SW, hyporegulation of the blood magnesium is more pronounced at 30° than at 15° C. 2. In both species, magnesium is actively secreted into the urine of crabs exposed to concentrated media, and the rate of secretion increases at the higher temperature. 3. The regulation of blood sulphate is little influenced by acclimation temperature. 4. The rates of sulphate secretion into the urine are appreciably smaller than those of magnesium, and they increase with temperatue in G. cruentata but not in U. cordatus.
