Resumo

A simple mathematical model, based on polynomial functions, was used to correlate experimental vapor–liquid equilibrium (VLE) data for the CO2 + ethanol + water system. The data were collected from the literature for temperatures 35, 40, 50, 60, and 70°C and pressures from 10 MPa to 18.5 MPa. This model is able to reproduce the equilibrium compositions of the two phases within the experimental error given in the group of selected publications.
