Titrimetric and colorimetric methods based on the periodate reaction are described for the determination of glucose in blood fiitrates. The results on tungstic acid filtrates with the new methods are lower than with the standard clinical procedures, but higher than results on filtrates which represent “true” blood glucose levels.
