Resumo

N1Br2 aqueous solution of concentration 2.0 M has been investigated by X-ray diffraction. The experimental correlation function shows four main peaks, centered at about 2.05, 2.65, 3.20 and 4.10 A. The existence of the peak at 2.65 Å shows the presence in solution of the complex Ni(H2O)5Br+ together with Ni(H2O)2+6. For the Br− ion, octahedral coordination is confirmed.
