ResumoA new diarylheptanoid glucoside, (8R,9R)-17-methoxy-2-oxatricyclo[13.2.2.13,7]icosa-1(17),3(20),4,6,15,18-hexaene-4,9,10-triol-9-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (1), namely jugcathayenoside, together with two known diarylheptanoids, (+)-galeon (2) and 4-hydroxy-17-methoxy-2-oxatricyclo[13.2.2.13,7]icosa-1(17),3(20),4,6,15,18-hexaene-9-one (3), were isolated from the root bark of Juglans cathayensis. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic data analysis.
