Toxicon13, 139–142, 1975—An antivenin against Micrurus mipartitus hertwigi was prepared in a horse employing subcutaneous inoculations of venom in sodium alginate and Freund's complete adjuvant. The antivenin, refined with ammonium sulfate and freeze dried, neutralizes (per ml) 450 μg of the homologous venom, 100–150 μg of M. m. anomalus venom from Colombia, 250 μg of M. carinicaudus dumerilii venom and 75 μg of M. alleni venoms.
