Resumo

The one-dimensional field-enhanced diffusion equation has been solved under the flux-step boundary condition. The solution has been shown to give concentration profiles similar to those from the concentration-step boundary condition solution. An experiment that satisfies the former condition has been performed with a silver-glass system. Results have been favourably compared with theory by an extended interpretation of the Einstein relation.
