Resumo

Wetting of human skin by several liquids was investigated by contact angle measurements. Excised and live skin exhibited similar wetting properties. The skin surface was found to be hydrophobic, with little or no polar interaction occurring between the wetting liquid and the skin surface. The Good-Girafalco-Fowkes-Young equation can be used to predict contact angles of liquids on human skin.
