Resumo

Abstract Emission spectra have been determined of the chemoluminescent reaction between a number of derivatives of dihydrophthalazinedione and hydrogen peroxide at a carbon anode in alkaline solution. Fluorescence spectra of the compounds in alkaline and acid solutions have also been determined. In most cases the maximum of the spectrum of chemoluminescence and that of fluorescence in acid solution are at nearly the same wavelength. However, the chemoluminescence spectra are broadened with respect to the fluorescence spectra.
