ResumoRolling-moment is an important parameter for designing cross-wedge rolling mill. It is very important to make clear varying rule of rolling-moment for rolling mill, such as measuring power, calculating intensity and rigidity, selecting motor and optimizing techniques, etc. However, the varying rule of rolling-moment has not a uniform theory at present. In this paper, the varying rule of rolling-moment during rolling process was analyzed systematically using explicit dynamic finite element method; the corresponding effecting rule on technique parameters was clarified too. In addition, the test system of rolling-moment by using computer-collecting data had been exploited. Through this testing system, the effecting rule of rolling-moment at different stretching angle was tested online. The tested result corresponds with the theory analysis. The studied result provides important realistic meaning and application value for defining reasonable parameters of force and energy, perfecting theory of cross-wedge rolling for developing heavy cross-wedge rolling mill.
