ResumoVarious doses of melatonin were administered to normal and epileptic subjects. Increase of EEG alpha activity, sleep, imagery, and a feeling of well-being and elation were found. A decrease in paroxistic grapho-elements of the epileptic patients was also noticed. When two parkinsonians received 1.2 g of melatonin orally for four weeks, a striking improvement in the symptoms and signs of the disease was detected.
