The article analyzes how the film maker Emir Kusturica composes the main character in the documentary Maradona, (2008). The constructions of power around the figure of the player are verified, especially by the authors Pierre Bourdieu, Max Weber and Erving Goffman. The purpose of this paper is to try to understand how the Serbian director explains the Argentine phenomenon in football through out the documentary narrative.
