NMR spectroscopy and applications

The high resolution NMR spectra of the AA′XX′M and AA′BB′X systems have been reviewed using the principles of sub-spectral analysis. In particular, the X part of the AA′BB′X system provides an interesting illustration of sub-spectra, involving a 2:2 sub-system of energy levels which can give rise to a unique four lined sub-spectrum.
