Resumowas good intra-laboratory correlation (91% agreement within 2 log2 by AD and 90% by ET), and there were 8 very major errors from 3 centers and 5 major errors (S reported as R) from 2 centers, Overall for MTZ 88% of AD versus ET results were within 2 log2 dilutions. Conclusion: This study indicates that use of a standardized prococol based on NCCLS guidelines facilitates identification of CLA and MTZ susceptible and resistant strains of H. pylofi using either AD or ET methods.
