Resumo

More than 10 000 variants of a 38 mer WW protein domain were prepared and screened successively with 22 different dye-labeled peptide ligands (see picture). This approach has enabled more than 250 000 binding experiments to be performed and has revealed comprehensive information regarding the sequence requirements for binding. Thus, WW variants with novel binding specificities were identified.
