ResumoThe laboratory facilities are described from the acoustical-testing point of view. Among the topics covered are the volumes and surface areas of the rooms, the size and geometry of the opening between the rooms, the empty-room reverberation times, the design of the moving vanes and other diffusing elements, the upper limit for sound-transmission-loss measurements, the instruments and methods used for measurements of decay rates, and sound-pressure-level differences.
