Translocations of rocky habitat cichlid fishes to Nkhata Bay, Lake Malawi

Over the last 10 years, 12 rocky habitat ‘mbuna’ taxa have been translocated to Nkhata Bay on the north‐western shores of Lake Malawi from other regions of the lake. Given potential for competition and hybridization with indigenous taxa, further translocations should be avoided.
