Resumo

The electrical conductivities, Seebeck coefficients and thermal conductivities of (Fe1−xMx)2O3 (M=Ti, Sn; x=0–0.03) are measured in the temperature range from room temperature to 973 K. Ti- and Sn-doping increases the electrical conductivities and decreases the Seebeck coefficients. The thermal conductivities decrease with increasing temperature, indicating phonon contribution, and they decrease by doping. The figure of merit of (Fe0.97Ti0.03)2O3 reaches 4.28×10−5 K−1 at 973 K, and the power factor (=S2σ) is 1.5×10−4 W/mK2, which is almost equal to that of LixNi1−xO.
