We have carefully measured the Raman scattering and infrared absorption spectra of the C-N stretching region of ${\mathrm{K}}_{2}$Pt${(\mathrm{CN})}_{4}$${\mathrm{Br}}_{0.3}$ \ifmmode\cdot\else\textperiodcentered\fi{} 3${\mathrm{H}}_{2}$O. The expected polarization differences between ${B}_{1g}$ and ${B}_{2g}$ modes were observed along with a large frequency splitting between the modes. We attribute this frequency splitting to significant differences in the environment of the two platinum sites in the crystallographic unit cell.
