ResumoAn evening seminar was held in connection with the Multatuli lecture in Leuven. During that seminar, Michael Sandel was invited to respond to a few questions springing from his lecture and from his book Democracy’s Discontent. What follows is the transcript of that discussion in which questions were formulated by Antoon Vandevelde (KU Leuven, philosopher, Centre for Economy and Ethics), Koen Raes (Rijksuniversiteit Gent, philosopher, Applied Ethics), Amaryllis Verhoeven (KU Leuven, lawyer, Institute for European Law), Ab Bijma (Dutch lawyer and journalist), Bart Pattyn (KU Leuven, philosopher, European Centre for Ethics), Joseph Selling (KU Leuven, moral theologian) and Herman De Dijn (KU Leuven, ViceRector, philosopher, Institute of Philosophy).
