ResumoThe author critically examines a 1995 article by Joseph L. Rodgers Paul A. Nakonezny and Robert D. Shull in which authors report on a [U.S.] study designed to assess effects of adoption of no-fault provisions by 50 states. Glenn asserts that the preponderance of evidence from more appropriate analyses suggests that adoption of no-fault divorce in itself had very little direct effect on divorce rates. A reply by authors of original article is included (pp. 1026-30). (EXCERPT)
