Resumo

To provide better conditions lar lish culture, a study was undertaken to assess the best way 01 adapting mullet lingerlings (Mugil curem a) to freshwater.Mullets have been submitted to direct shock and gradual decrease 01 salinities 01 12 % 0, 7%0, 3%0 and 2 0 /00 (freshwater), with a survival varying Iram 65% to 100%.It was observed that weight varies in function of time, at salinities of 0,2 0 /00, 3%0 and 7 0 /00, and that 01 the lish medium with values 01 14 0 /00 and 30%0 (winter and summer) at Tamandaré, and 18 0 /00 and 310/00 (winter and summer) at Itamaracá, located respectively at the south and north of the state of Pernambuco coast.
