Autores ResumoAlong the river Tardoire's course, between Chaise and Coulgens, the individuality of the four successive sheets, already defined, has been proved together with the clean mineralogical break which divides Mindel from Riss. Below La Rochefoucauld, to differentiate the two former sheets on the one hand from the two latest sheets on the other hand is more difficult to establish. Tectonic movements have occurred later in the « Massif Central » than in the Central and Basque Pyrenees, as it is shown through the mineralogical break set between Mindel and Riss for the Tardoire, while between Gunz and Mindel for the Gave of Lourdes and the Nive.
