He held instructional design and management positions with Tratec, Incorporated, Disco-Vision Associates, and Pioneer Video before joining FLI in 1985. Van has also served on the adjunct faculty of the University of Southern California where, in 1974, he received his Ph.D. in instructional design. Van O.
