ResumoThe intent of this research was to evaluate the ability of the Forameter to measure 0.5 to 1.0 mm short of the foramen opening in 20 canals. The results were evaluated radiographically and microscopically. Results showed the Forameter to be inaccurate in more than 65% of the measurements, and that radiographic evaluation of the position of the probe in the canal was inaccurate in more than 40% of the canals evaluated.
