ResumoThis study reports the presence of 30 species of bats collected at different altitudes in the north of Antioquia Department, Colombia. The species captured belong to five families, six subfamilies and 18 genera. All listed pertain to the suborder Microchiroptera, order Chiroptera and the mayority to the family Phyllostomidae. The most abundant species were Artibeus lituratus, Carollia perspicillata and Molossus molossus. Six tipes of diets were catalogued for the captured specimens. Most abundant were fruit eaters, followed by insectivorous and nectivorous bats. Very few fish eaters, carnivors or omnivors were found. No vampires were captured, although their presence was noted in the typical bite marks seen on cows and horses of the region.
