Experimental and Theoretical Physics Studies

This paper describes a method that helps students master concepts by hands-on experimentation — the concept-centered minilab — and lists possible minilabs for use in introductory physics courses. We have used minilabs successfully at Rutgers for 15 years. They are inexpensive and inherently student-active.
