ResumoThe cochlear potentials for the kangaroo rat display an unusual sensitivity to the low frequencies. This animal also possesses extremely large bullae to which some investigators have attributed enhancement of low-frequency tones. Attempts to reveal the function of these bullae by electrophysiological measures are discussed.
