Resumo

Following the oral administration of disulfiram to alcoholic patient volunteers, methyl diethyldithiocarbamate (MeDDC) was noted in blood withdrawn between one and two hours after dosing. This is consistent with previous reports of MeDDC in mice and dogs. It is suggested that MeDDC is an intermediate in the formation of urinary sulfate.
