ResumoThe electronic structure of the CdTe(110) surface has been studied with angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy using synchrotron radiation. An empirical tight-binding linar combination of atomic orbitals band structure has been derived, based on normal-emission spectra. Several, previously unreported, surface-related states have been observed in off-normal emission, and their dispersions have been mapped along symmetry directions of the surface Brillouin zone.
