Based on A Saga do Anti-Herói, a study of picaresque Mario González and the observations of Antonio Candido in Dialética da Malandragem, this study will examine the character John in Brave New World, by Aldous Huxley, searching to highlight aspects that allow approaching this character to a picaro character.First of all, the study will do certain critical surveys regarding the origin and the existing elements in the picaresque genre for, afterwards, analyzing John showing similar traits to a picaro character.
