Resumo

This study investigated the coastal erosion of Capo Colonna cliff in Calabria, Italy. It included an assessment of multidisciplinary studies concerning coastal processes along the Calabrian coast and presents a description of the mechanisms that triggered the landslide of the Capo Colonna cliff located in the protected marine area of Capo Rizzuto, extending for a length of approximately 4 km and having a total surface area of approximately 135 km 2 . The study especially focused on the effects of the phenomenon of coastal erosion of the cliff and proposes some possible interventions for the rehabilitation of this coastline.
