ResumoSectional prostheses are fabricated for the patients with maxillofacial defects, microstomia, trismus, and/or severe undercut in denture supporting areas. The design of a sectional prosthesis is determined considering both function and convenience of insertion/removal of large prostheses. Various types of magnets have been used for connecting segments of sectional prostheses, and for stabilizing removable partial dentures (RPDs). 1 Freedman H. Magnets to stabilize dentures.
