ResumoUltrasonically guided percutaneous transhepatic cholangiography and percutaneous pancreatography were successfully performed in a patient with periampullary carcinoma. The entire biliary tree, including the dilated pancreatic duct, was visualized on both occasions. The techniques used are described, and the clinical significance of ultrasound as a guide in percutaneous puncture is discussed.
