ResumoA simple real space renormalisation scheme is proposed for the statistics of the polymer coil-globule transition in two dimensions. This approach describes the coil, theta point and globular states of the macromolecule within a single two-parameter transformation. Results from a small-cell calculation include the theta -point size exponent, vtheta =0.494, and crossover exponent phi =0.486.
