As a Beat Generation specialist, she has especially published on 'Beat Buddhism' and the mysticism of the Beats in general, and has a book forthcoming on the poet Allen Ginsberg (From Blake to Buddha: Allen Ginsberg's Journey 'Through the Gates of Wrath', 2010). As an ecocritic, she has mainly written on Canadian ecopoetry/ecopoetics and she convened the 'Poetics Ecologies' Conference in Brussels in May 2008.
