ResumoSpecies of Esenbeckia Kunth (Rutaceae) have been shown to contain coumarins and furocoumarins (Dreyer (1980); Guilhon et al. (1994); Oliveira et al. (1996); Trani et al. (1997)), limonoids (Dreyer (1980)), and quinoline, acridone and indolic alkaloids (Bevalot et al. (1984); Nakatsu et al. (1990)) as the main secondary metabolites. To our knowledge, no phytochemical investigation has been carried out to E. stephani.
