With the development of Web journalism we can start thinking about the future of the press.To know the future you need to know its past, the report's past (genus that comes with the press).To understand the story of the press, a quantitative study of 30 years of reporting was developed in the Jornal de Notícias, O Primeiro de Janeiro and O Comércio do Porto (1974/ 2004).The stories selected for this study have a political and social nature, related with historical background of Portugal from April 25th, 1974.
